Lesson: Histograms

Key ideas

Bin: a numeric range (like 10–19).
Frequency: how many values fall in a bin.
Bin width: the size of each bin.
Relative frequency: frequency ÷ total.
Cumulative frequency: running total across bins.

Tip: Smaller bin width shows more detail (but can be noisy); larger width is smoother (but hides detail).
